siemens ncdc 2013 broken trying to fit alpine head

took car to sextons left it 3-4hrs to try fitting alpine head unit rang me back said the bose amp had power but no sound suggested changing amp said no was working before radio broke said they try again thursday anybody have any idea what could cause no sound to speakers?

More info needed, were they trying to make the Alpine HU work with your existing Bose setup? not sure if thats going to work without the correct matching units.

Also what screen do you have of the 2013?

Did they de-pair the 2013 with CID (colour screen) before taken out the 2013. What was wrong with the 2013?

Right, STOP.

if you are using a colour screen, you have to keep the NCDC201x stereo.

If these idiots are even considering wiring up the Alpine to the Bose unit, immediately demand full refund, and go elsewhere. And audio specialist should know better.


If you want to change to a non NCDC201x radio, you need:

New screen
New wiper stalk
New speakers all round
Remove bose and all the speakers
Remove colour screen
Adapters if you want to use steering wheel controls
Adapters if you want radio info on display

tis irrelevent, as colour screen can only be used in conjunction with NCDC201x radio

hi the2013 is  not working now shorted has not worked since i need some sound have about £350 to spare what can i do

Agreed, but I was thinking along the lines of if they did Depair at least he could go down the road of sorting a replacement 2013.

right from 1st hand experiance i know what happens when you do this having experimented!

if you wire a Non Bose headunit upto a bose amp the headunits amp will burn out within 10 minuites! itll overheat first and then smoke so dont bother trying it!

also it may even damage the bose amp itself

if you have £350 to spend then just get a replacement NCDC! depaired

although DaveDND may be able to make a paired unit depaired again

Why to Germany? There are people on here who have a good knowledge of this kit.

TB and I are also stockpiling the NCDx kit  ;D
