Indicator left ON warning buzzer
« on: 12 August 2009, 21:27:23 »

Hi all,
Many years ago I fitted a gizmo on a Maxi I had, that would warn if the turn indicator was left ON.  It had an adjustment you could set so that it would only start buzzing if indicator was ON for more than 30 to 100 secs.

Has any one seen anything like one of these about now?

I am finding that sometimes when I only signal only to change lanes for instance, that the self cancel doesn't operate, and although I know I should, but I don't always notice it has stayed ON.

Regards

Roger

Keep meaning to do something on the Westfield (no self-cancelling at all). Normally it's OK but at times of "high driver workload" (i.e. marginal overtakes :o ) I tend to forget to cancel them. :-[

I then find, about five miles up the road, that I'm still indicating. ::)

I have a similar problem on my Beach Buggy to your Westfield - so much road and exhaust noise that you cannot hear the indicator relay and the dash lights are somewhat inneffective.

That little gizmo for a delayed noise looks just the trick - anyone used one?
