Wiring on leccy window switch
« on: 27 September 2009, 20:07:36 »

Anyone know the colour wire that illuminates the switch when sidelights are activated and also the 0v (earth). Or has anyone got an exploded view of the pin outs. TIA :) :)

On the facelift the switches illuminate with the sidelights. When ign. switched off and key removed, window operation and switch illumination remain active until driver`s door has been opened.
In answer to my posted question, managed to suss it out. Pin #4 on main switch (red cable) is perm. live, pin #22 activates the illumination (grey/yellow trace). On pass door and both rears illumination pin is the grey/yellow trace wire :y

On the pre & mini facelift models the Haynes manual has full wiring diagrams including wiring colours.

However, its very small print (I got mine copied to A3 size) and the wire colours are abbreviated into German - but there is a key at the front of the section.

Should give you everything you need.
