Help needed
« on: 14 December 2009, 18:21:21 »

Hi, i have an omega 2.2 cdx 2002, on the dash the light with a car and a spanner keeps coming on and staying on, i had it put on a machine and they said it was the transmission controller, code P7.
Can anybody tell me how i resolve this without spending a fortune.
I f the light comes on whilst driving it seems fine but if it comes on when the ignition is turned on it goes very slowly, as if the handbrakes on. If i turn the ignition off and back on it does go off.
Any help gratefully received, thanks.

you need to get the codes read in full, worth posting up your location we may have tech2 near you. Otherwise its worth investing in a 'cheapo' tech2 from eBay for around £30

With the 2.2 the cam sensor is a common failure, which causes other random codes to appear which has nothing to do with the true fault

need the codes read properly, not by the fly-by-night who did it last time.

Where are you?

Have a word with the service manager at Lookers Ellesmere Port aka Dr O aka Phil R who knows his Vauxhalls back to front and lurks in the shadows here sometimes!  :y  :y  :y

EOBD Error stored by Transmission Control (TC) Modul B-06

are those ALL the codes?  :-?

Things like crank sensor failing can give autobox false codes

I think he is trying to tell you that there should be more than one code when read properly

Readings from the other units will assist in the diagnosis
