Face lift wiring diagrams
« on: 19 December 2009, 20:54:40 »

Hi i am looking to see if i can get a set of drawings for the wiring on the face lift omega for the elite electric seats and mirrors, to fit them to another car, my spare MV6 est which is the winter run about, but my wife likes her creature comforts and doesnt like moving seats and mirrors, thanks Kack's man Eric
PS urgent as i am getting grief, thanks

How old is the MV6, facelift too?

MV6 is actually fairly standard spec in reality (its halfway between CD & CDX)

Not a lot of the loom is going to be present, it depends what you want to do.

If you just want to fit them, and get basic functions (ie moving seat forward and back) then it should be fairly straight forward.

But if your going for full memory setup with mirrors and so on, think there is a lot of work involved.

Hi, yes i didnt realise how basic the mv6 is until i owned it, and as you say to have the seat working is easy but i always choose the hard road to travel, so looking mirrors and rear view mirror linked in to the seat base as well, and i understand i need the different door looms and wing mirrors for the feedback
cheers Eric

Yup, they need to replaced too, assuming they have some kind of 'memory' function over normal mirrors. Not sure i would fancy running that loom.

Might be worth getting the Haynes book of 'dangle berries', that has wiring diagrams, but not sure how detailed they are for memory functions

The 'memory' mirrors in elites have feedback as stated, this entails them transmitting the positional information back to the car on a couple of extra wires. Unfortunately this requires the extra wires to be present on the internal car loom as well which is unlikely.

Presume you mean Haynes? Doesn't cover the modifications on the facelift unfortunately.

Try TIS for better diagrams  :y

Although its not covered in Haynes (sorry should have mentioned before) the basic setup should be the same on pre-facelift Elites.

Its no different in the facelift in terms of operation, but your going to have fun transfering looms. It will be easier to buy an Elite!  :)
