Indeed, that model cannot be decoded remotely and will need to be sent to us for manual programming

You could ask them, and after paying good money for them to make up and supply a number, you could even ask them to send it away to their nominated decode centre (erm . . Me !!) to be reset, for an extortionate fee, or alternatively, follow the link I gave previously and send it direct

Take the radio unit out, you may be extremely lucky & find the code either written or scratched on the casing.Good luck

And that is the problem - most cars (especially new ones) will have had the stereo changed upteen times between the production line and the garage, and once it has reached the forecourt, the salesman will swap it around with other cars or put it in a cupboard waiting for someone to specify a better model or negotiate an upgrade in order to make a sale on the car. Most manufacturers also lose interest in keeping any records after 36 months also.

So yes, a chargeable(!) car pass in invaluable for the vehicle details, but very seldom accurate for the audio.

Even my T reg crappy Astra still has its original radio, as does the Omega ..... which is obviously a little more specific (CCRT700) and car pass details came from vauxhall just a couple of years ago. Radios have become more & more specific for each model of car these days so I wouldn't have thought there'd be the scope to swap radios about now.

Even my T reg crappy Astra still has its original radio, as does the Omega ..... which is obviously a little more specific (CCRT700) and car pass details came from vauxhall just a couple of years ago. Radios have become more & more specific for each model of car these days so I wouldn't have thought there'd be the scope to swap radios about now.

To be fair, I did say MOST and not ALL, however, if this was not such a major problem, then I would have not spent the last 18 years building up one of the largest decode centres in Europe supplying codes to the Public and decode equipment to the manufacturers !

I think Omega is one of those cars that doesn't seem to get the radio changed that often. Dunno why, maybe as it attracts older market and people who can't be bothered?


Generally, with Omegas, I've found the carpass to be generally accurate, though cannot be guaranteed. And the prices some dealers charge is unacceptable.
