Problems with CID
« on: 20 January 2010, 20:09:15 »

My Colour Info Display has almost died. Sometimes works sometimes not, very annoying... in Hungary it's difficult to find a replacement part. Is it possible to buy one from England?Any idea?

Anyway can I use a GID instead of CID? The head unit is a Siemens NCDC2013. If it's possible to use the GID is it needed to depair similar to CID??

If somebody has a relacement CID or GID don't hesitate to contact me...

Alternatively there's BBA-reman in the UK who can do this.  They managed to get hold of a replacement LCD screen but it came from China.   Downside is that it will cost around 500 GBP so the eBay option is cheaper if you want a CID badly.

Hi thanks, I've already discussed with the American guy.
The main problem I don't know if the screen i bador the electronics.Sometimes the screen is white, sometimes vibrating, sometimes vertical lines.
How could I decide what is the wrong exactly?

99% its the LCD screen. Your symptoms are exactly the same that I had before my screen was replaced by BBA Reman.

Yep, same problem I had; LCD.  Mine worked intermittently then eventually just went all white coloured.
