IR Keyfob Battery?
« on: 10 February 2010, 14:09:13 »

Anybody know what battery type is required for the earlier Infra Red keyfobs? I really need to get one and I've left the keys at home  :-[

My 1994 Omega with infra-red transmitter in the key used two CR2016's IIRC (definitely two batteries, but might have been two CR2020's :-/)

First two digits are diameter in mm (CR20-- = 20mm thick)
Second two digits are thickness in tenths of mm (CR--16 = 1.6mm thick)

My keyfob won't lock the car unless I lock it with the key, then unlock it with the button. Then it will let me use the button to lock it. Any ideas ?
