you need special double din removal pins, there are grub screws which need to be removed first

Undo the 4 grub screws.

Insert a pair of double din radio release keys until they click in then pull.

Took me an hour to get mine out >:(

If you have an auto you have to move the gear selector back to D to get the radio out. If you lift the gear surround to release the catch make sure not to drop anything down the hole because you will never find it again.

I take it the grub screws are the ones you need a right angle allen key or tqx drive for?

IIRC it`s a 3mm allen key. Don`t force the unit out once the din tools are in place. Gently ease it out otherwise you`ll rip the faceplate off

Allen Keys or Torx T8 for the grub screws.

And spend an extra 50p on the genuine Vauxhall removal keys as the Autoleads/Halfords ones are useless in the Omega due to the cage being very tight.

what a shitter, i just had one of these out tonight as the cd changer got jammed, repaired it, then when re fitted it, must have nocked the connector block at the rear just slightly, as no display, another 30 mins faffing about with removal tools, got her out, refitted block into cage, job done.
why does everything have to be an arse hole the night before delivering a car for a customer, and to top that, working in -1 in the dark grrrr lol
