Siemens NCDC 2015 problem
« on: 17 February 2010, 09:56:42 »

Hi. I have a Omega 2.5dti facelift with a siemens 2015 installed. But i have trouble with the cd and navigation slot. It won't read any cd's. Not even the original navigation cd.

Anything i do with this?
I have a original CD 70 Navi, can i use somthing from that to fix the 2015. Or is there a way to use the CD70 i my omega?

Greetings from Norway.

have you been using CD-R's in both the changer and single disc lot? These tend to nacker the lasers. You need to get it repaired, DaveDND a member here does repairs, not sure what postage would be though from Norway  :-/

Ok. Do you know where to get a new laser? Is it a difficult job to change?

So the CD 70 is useless to an omega? It's a different wirering system than the 2015 isn't it?

CDRs knacker the laser.  Parts are virtually impossible to get now.

CD70 uses different laser. CD70 cannot be fitted to Omega (believe me, I've tried)

B4 you do anything, try to take it out and clean the laser. It's been several years now, and lenses needs cleaning sometimes. I reckon it should be fine.
