Can't get radio to work

I want to fit a new radio in the car 2.5td cdx but can't get it to work.
It powers up but no sound. I have seen from the posts that it is not staight forward job but can't find an answer as to make it work.People talk about a bose thing in the boot but don't think I have one of them as I can't see it under the parcel shelf.
I have used an ISO adapter but still cant make it work,can you help please.Its a kenwood radio/cd

did you get the kenwood plug for omega??? as there are dif leads for dif radios.

Hi Goldy

iirc the 'BOSE' is only fitted to the Elite model.

It sounds (no pun) like its possible a speaker problem have you checked all the speaker wires are firmly in the ISO block secondly I know this sounds stupid but you have turned the volume knob up !!

Swapped the 12V and ign 12V over? ;)

Thanks all.The original radio works OK so theory about speakers and not turning sound up are out .
The funny thing is regarding speakers is that I could not make them "click" with a battery when I was tracing the wires so it makes me think that there is something in the system that needs powering up but the new radio/cd is not doing this.  >:( :(

Thanks to all for your help.
The problem was that the amp in the car was not being powered up so I used the aeriel power up lead from the radio to power the amp and now all is good.Thanks again.
