You sure it's 1 safe & not 10 safe?
1 safe means that there's only ONE more attempt to enter the corect code before your head unit changes into a door stop.  ;)
The handbook says:
The diplay shows SAFE, After the first two incorrect attempts, the waiting time is approx 20 secsonds, then 10 minutes. Aftre the 9th failed attempt, the waiting time is 640 minutes (over 10 hours  :-?)
After 10 failed attempts, the radio is inoperative. An expensive replacement procedure must be carried out by VAuxhall

What model of radio are you talking about?

If it says 1-SAFE though, I would really suggest that you do not try anything else without talking to me first, as if that last attempt gets used up, my prices start rocketing skywards !!
