hello just wondering if anyone can help me got a 2.5td omega and it got a fault with cold start the problem is its got no live feed to the fuel pump,checked fuses all ok checked relay seems to be ok when warm starts fine. it`s a u25td.pump working ok when wire bridged out

thanks for your help will take these into consideration if u know the location of fuel heater that would be a massive help and i seen on a couple of other posts how do u reset the immobiliser

fuel  heater is on the fuel line where gose into the casing should see a electric plug 2-3 wires depending,.

For very obvious reasons, the question of how to reset or bypass any vehicle alarm or immobiliser should not really be discussed on an open forum.

and if not done right will lose both ecu's at same time there is a few things you would need to reset. and a car pass is just one.

I believe the 2.5td has a transponder style immobiliser which disables the engine via the ECU. In any case, the in-tank pump is just a lift pump without which the engine will run, but be troublesome to start.

It sounds like a matter of tracing the circuit from battery through whatever fuses and relay(s) to the tank to find out where the fault is.

Haynes manual has the 2.5td wiring diagrams in the back, I believe.

just an update, all wires to the pump ok, all wires to feul pump relay ok,fuel pump relay ok,checked heater in fuel line by the filter (if that is the right 1), fuel pump runs when power straight off the battery also runs when car running, now fault seems to be only intermitant and only on cold start any ideas coz i`ve ran out  :-?

check the fuses in the aux fuse box. on top of the battery. 30amp one.

if i remember right you only get a short pulse af the fuel pump,
when ignition first turned on to prime the lines to the injector pump, think about 5 secs or so, then its off until the engine runs and it then gets power from alternator?,

It RUNS it starts first time every time even in first thing in the morning
