when i attempt to close window from either switch,  if i just try one touch  to close, the glass goes up and down as if its got a mind of its own
only way i do close it is if i gentley pull up the swich so as to close it one inch at a time ????
only 1 window does this ??

not sure what this talk is of door cards ?????     paul

I get this with one of my windows,THis window happens to be the one that got smashed.I dont know if i've fitted correctly,or a piece of glass is on the mech./wire or the glass is getting caught on the seal.I didn't have the problem before the window was smashed.

I had this on a previous Omega, press the switch and help the window up with your hand.
So, place your hand on the window and push it upwards and press the switch together, that ought to help. I've only ever had it in warmer weather.

I had this on the drivers side rear. After disconnecting the battery to do another (unconnected ) job and then reconnecting it, I found the window worked as it should :y

A door card is simply the interior trim which is attached to the metal frame of the door  :y

Try a piece of tailors chalk up and around the runners when the window is down. Works wonders ;)
