Really fancied these myself, saw a car with them fitted in Weymouth, and immediately decided how "cheap" and "boy racer" they looked, even on a black estate with blacked out windows. The guy had chrome wheels and big exhausts, and it looked just WRONG.
personal choice, yes, but if you have a nice standard good nick car, IMHO makes it look "chavvy"

Mike.  (pity.......could have looked so modern.....)

Expensive to the likes of you and I, but a true Chav who wanted those lights would find an extra tick box on the benefits form to be able to claim that amount back

Why do some people think they look 'Chavvy'?

I suppose if there was an i stamp on them they'd be acceptable and three times the price, then these people would say "Aah, might seem expensive, but at least you know they'll fit properly. The quality is superb blah blah........... lets all die of old age while they're dribbling on about the fabled qualities of Irmscher".
I can tell you that Irmscher is no better made, or fits any better than some stuff from Poland available on ebay.

Thinking about it, Irmscher mainly do stuff for GM and Peugeot, not exactly Rolls Royce!!!

Yup have to agree.
I'm often gob smacked at the price that having an 'i' on something quadruples the price - and I should know I've spend enough time and money getting the stuff. Some of the stuff for current cars is unbelievable -  cheap, black plastic grille inserts that don't lend anything to the vehicles they sit on.

I wonder why someone doesn't get a set of Irmscher front/rear Omega bumpers make moulds from them and then get them made by the thousand and import them. There'd be a market for them wouldn't there?

I think that the very popular (10 years ago anyway) 'Lexus style' rear light clusters would look very good on an Omega Estate. 8-)

And Gunter Irmscher may produce stuff for GM and Peugeot but as stuff sells for the money it does, he has laughed all the way to the bank! ;D ;D

What do you think his stuff for Rolls would look like :) ;D
I'm sure he'd have customers in LA.

................but at least it's an after market item for an Omega!

Omegas and Modding? What's that then?

I wonder if different styles will be produced?
That would be nice! ;)

Know what you're saying Matt - the great GM unwashed have been hoodwinked by Mr. Irmscher for years, in my opinon. OK, so some of it's good, but those door handle "spoilers" you can now get for Insignia, Antara, Astra H, Corsa D etc....... WTF is that all about? :o :o :o

They would be slated by all VX forums if they weren't Irmscher, OPC or Steinmetz!

Seen a couple of cars from the local guys around here who have "modded" some of these styles of rear lights with quite an effect.

They have been cut open, the naff vaccuum plated chrome has been sprayed matt black, with a few (but not all) of the chrome around the LEDs left, reassembled and refitted.

Completely transforms them, and even I must admit, makes them look quite appealing.

Yes, they certainly would!

Having a certain brand does seem to give it credence irrespective of design, form or function.
Your example of the door handle spoilers illustrates that perfectly!
