Facelift boot release not working
« on: 04 May 2010, 22:15:52 »

Hi all
Without actually removing the whole unit and doing voltage checks are there any quick checks I should rule out?

Now the boot release still works from key fob's just not from dash so I know it works I just want to get her all working as she should :y

thanks

Up to 2001, key needs to be removed from ign to open boot.  Post 2001, you need to press and hold button for 2s, whether keys in or not

In your case LZ, I reckon either someone has added some extra electronics (easy-ish) or its had a new ECU.

In the meantime, PM me your reg and I'll use that to try to work out what should be in there :y

Ok, OK!! ::) ::)  So my alarm has apparently been given a later model ECU ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;)

Just shows how many variants there are of our miggies and how the advice we give to others must take that into account ;) ;)
