Identifying lights and audio system speakers.
« on: 13 July 2010, 13:55:00 »

Can someone tell me what the standard speakers are in an 02 2.6 v6 miggy please? The headset is the 2005 but there are tweeters in the top of the door panel and I've been told these were only put in with the elite bose systems. My car was originally a high end hire car for the first 9 months of it's life and it had full  leather fitted so a bose system could have been an upgrade.

Secondly what do xenon lights look like please as I can't find out what the lights are on my miggy apart from they are gash at night.
TIA

If your car was a CD, then unlikely to have xenons or projectors (I'm pretty sure, easily corrected by a more knowledgeable person here). These can easily be retro-fitted though. Look at your stereo carefully, if you CAN'T see the words "Bose" anywhere, it probably isn't. Xenons flicker a bit when you turn them on, and they give a "bluey" light, projectors have ordinary type bulbs in them. Look at a bulb carefully, if its a two pin ordinary type bulb, they are not xenons.

All sounds right for CD spec.

All have front tweeters.  If your light switch has an adjustment for headlight height, they are halogens.

As said, all have front tweeters, Bose will have speakers on Parcel shelf.

You won't have Xenon headlights on CD spec, but if you do, they will have head light washers mounted on the bumper  :y
