TIS recommends a reset in this particulalr scenario, before replacing ecu...

Ok, thank you. I will try this first and then see what happens.

Wonder where I put my old cd with TIS...

I don't know if this is of any interest. I stumbled upon it a while back. It is for an older generation of Bosch ECU but the Bosch systems do seem to evolve so there may be some clues here.

I finally got my kit and was able to read codes from my ECU tonight. The 136 fault does not show up in "My Naff Code Reader", but I can paperclip it and get the error. Resetting the ECU via the interface does not clear the 136.
I have a feeling my ECU would be better off in the bin now..

Hi there. I have the same fault code (with paperclip), wonder if there is more info on that issue?

Hello Dima, and welcome!

I don't have any news about this issue, but I'm still investigating. Still have to open my ECU and do some measurements to see if there's any obvious signs of a short.

Since you get that code too, do you have any problems with your engine?

Engine works fine, no symptoms. But how long will it work with this error...

I don't know how long it will work. I don't think it matters all that much as it doesn't put up an engine management light, but either way, there must be a reason for it.
I will tell you the results when I finally get a chance to open up the ECU and have a good peek around :)
