Drivers heat seat doesn't work?
« on: 04 August 2010, 20:49:19 »

passenger side works, drivers side has not been working since I've had the car.
The light comes on when you turn the dial on the center console but seat never warms up.
Any ideas?

Any ideas?

one or both heater mats are fubar'd, as they are wired in series, if either one fails then you have no heat at all. Remove the seat & part of the cover (assuming leather and have a look, you might be lucky and bea ble to snip the buggered bit of element out & rejoin. Fabric seats use a separate mat inside that you should be able to just replace - generic mats are available ..... I believe.  ;)

Thanks guys,
I might leave this as one of the last issues to resolve.
Cambelt change, service and paint touch up will have to come first  ;D
