memory seats/mirrors 3.0 elite
« on: 16 August 2010, 22:09:34 »

i have noticed when changing the memors position of the seats the electric wing mirrors move aswell, now whats sonfusing me is the interior rear view morror adjusts also, so now i am thinking how is this adjusted if it moves electrically with the seat positions, i dont want to move it manually incase i break it ?

set the seat to where you want it using the motor buttons.

set the external mirrors to where you want them using the motor buttons

set the internal mirror to where you want it using your hands - it won't break

press and hold both the M and the 1 buttons for 5 seconds.

from now on when you press the 1 button and hold it all mirrors and the seat will return to this position from wherever they have been put.

repeat for positions 2 & 3

If no-one else drives the car .. or only one other person uses 2 ... then I have position 3 set so that seat remains, internal mirror remains, but external mirrors rotate down to give  view of the rear wheels at the kerb... makes reversing so much easier .. :)

press 3 before reversing, 1 when you've finished .. :)

:)

Man, you are so full of great idea's!  I never thought of doing that!  :o

Definitely something I will do!

I wonder how difficult it would be to have this feature automatically activated, like on modern cars?  :-/
