onboard display stuck on 28.8 mpg
« on: 01 September 2010, 09:01:32 »

hi everyone, first post :)  right just brought a 2003 omega 2.2i, got it home and noticed the onboard display is showing 28.8mpg and i cant change anything on it, the radio station display just below it works fine and works off of the steering wheel controls as i think it should, is there any way to do a simple reset of the computer or is this a deeper problem, any help would be greatly received :)

I've Hard-wired and Soldered the 3 on my display, so I know I'm aways getting 30+ MPG.

 ;D ;D ;D

28.3 mpg this week using the  'new' Omega, for the first time on a regular basis, lots of running around town on short trips.... not as good as the Citroen..44mpg... but better than I thought... :y

Got it up to 35.8 on a run to the Caravan (Static) the Citroen would have been 50...

Just wait till I get my lpg in... :y :y

Interestingly those figures aren't dramatically different to those I see on my V6... OK, the around town figure is higher but I expect to see an average of mid-high 30's on the run to Italy and back ;)

I'm actually not going to reset the trip computer (apart from fuel used as that is a guide for the LPG tank level) for the whole trip and see what I get :y
