Im getting the key done!!  fingers crossed.  but what happens when i need to change the batteries in the fob? can they just be replaced? or does it need to be re-set etc???

No hassle when the battery is replaced - it remembers its settings as long as you don't take forever doing it.  The manual says three minutes but I suspect it will last longer than that even.

Once that fob is programmed, it will stay programmed to that car.

Matters not if battery of fob goes flat - you may have to go through resync, but thats no hassle, just to allow car to relearn where the fob is in its rolling code cycle.
