« on: 05 October 2010, 12:29:39 »

Hi Guys,

Think i have an intermittant fault with the display for the radio/CD, clock and temp no probs but sometimes my radio station or Track will disappear. when i stop the car and start it up again it comes back on either permantly or it will go off again, only a minor nuisance but any ideas?

Cheers

Try refitting the plug at the back of the radio, sounds like it may be a loose fit.

What condition is your battery in, my 2.5 V6 is such a good starter that I hadn't realised that the battery's efficiency was dropping off until every time I started up the radio would not remember where it was last tuned too, (all stations in memory were available so did not have to do a rescan). Replacing the battery solved the problem immediately.
If your battery is good then looking for a poor connection is a starting point.
Hope this is helpful.
