Yeah a little bit,
I mean to some extent,
I mean sometimes the gear just becomes free and rpm rises but no effect on car, and then it cuts in with a bang and this light comes up, but thats only sometimes

but frm the past 2 or 3 days, the light just comes up without the gear creating problem,

so you mean, all the sensor problems are because of the gear ??

If I had to guess, I'd say these two are the culprit of the gearbox issues;

P0340 - Camshaft position sensor
P0500 - Vehicle speed sensor malfunction

Camshaft sensor one is, I believe, unusual on the V engines (but I guess there is a first time for everything!)..

Does your ABS light come on at all? Any problems with the speedometer?
