Central locking playing mind games !!
« on: 21 October 2010, 18:12:52 »

Up to now I've had no problem locking & unlocking car.

Today, going to work, no problem, coming home no problem, and till I came to lock up.

Pressed the lock button once, the car locked, then unlocked immediately.  :-?

Tried again, then locked x3 of the doors (not the drivers), so unlocked it.  :(

Then tried again, it then locked the drivers, but not the other doors.  >:(

Third time, pressed the button and all x4 doors locked and stayed locked.  :-?

Anyone know if this is symtoms of either the central locking acting up, or the key remote starting to act up.  Key remote could do with new shell, as the pads are looking a little battered, but like I said, up to now, it hasn't been acting up ??.  :-/

Something is sticking on the driver's door lock mechanism, or it's the door locking motor on its way out. Try lub'ing the mecanism inside the door first.  :y  :y

Mr Green,
Doubt it'll be the door not quite shutting, as always making sure that they're closed properly before walking away, and up to now there hasn't been a problem.  Thanks for the tip though, appreciated  :y .

Andy B,
I'll look at the door mechanism tomorow, and see if there's a problem with it - Cheers  :y
