Fuse for heating?
« on: 24 November 2010, 12:49:55 »

Guys,

I had a new battery fitted today after a cell failed and when I went to start it only the alarm went off and the central locking stopped working.

RAC guy diagnosed duff battery.

Driving off I now don't have any heating coming through but all the dash lights work.

Any ideas? Might there be a blown fuse?? If so which one????

Ta.

cheers - will go and have a look. On the drive home it seemed that there was a faint trickle of warm air coming through the vents but there simply was no fan speed - even on 'HI' or 'LOW'.

mmmm, downer - took the car into my local indep. and was diagnosed as shot heater motor. Aparently a very unusual fault!

Great! Snow forecast tonight, no heater!!

I had ice on the inside of the windscreen this morning and had to wait till the outside temp got above zero before I could drive  :(

This car is starting to annoy me ...

Bills over £1500 this year... perhaps I should just get another one every time something goes wrong. At £500 a pop for seemingly decent Elites that is a few months cheap motoring  :-?

Not that unusual. http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1288451321 what's your scuttle drain like by the pollen filter? If blocked with leaves etc it fills up & then drains into the car ... over the motor.
