Sunroof Gremlin
« on: 08 January 2011, 16:11:36 »

My sunroof has developed a mind of its own. It opens itself a fraction on tilt and then closes itself. It could do it 3 times in a row and then not do it again for days. I have reset the pinch guard on the motor but it didn't help. I think a fault in the switch is the problem. Is there any cure for this other than a new motor/switch assy.

Yep... Mine does it occasionally too. I rarely use the sunroof as I tend to let the Climate Control do its job so it seems to have stopped now :y

it tends to do this because of the ice forming around it. mine did this last week when the ice on the roof melted and in the evening it froze again. i fixed it by resetting it. from full close go to full tilt, the press the knob to close it. now go to full open then hold the knob to close it. hope this will help :)
