speaker not working
« on: 20 January 2011, 16:01:05 »

hi all, well after spending the afternoon fitting a new rear left speaker (pita job those door cards are my enemy) the bloody thing doesn't work i haven't investigated properly as it got dark anyone have some ideas on what to check, first thing i will try is fit the old stereo to see that it's not the new stereo but if it's not that is there a common place for the´wires to break and how do you test the wiring? i have a multimeter but am pretty useless when it comes to using it! many thanks, rich.

the most obvious place for a break in the wiring is where the wires pass from the door to the B pillar as these get bent and straightened each time the door is opened and closed
