Removing Xenon headlights
« on: 09 February 2011, 12:16:48 »

OK I have a facelift CDX that im breaking with Xenons and I was wondering how hard they would be to transplant to my facelift CD.

I take it there is some ballast and wireing that I need to transplant with them?

Opening up a can of worms here mate ;D
Basically to retrofit without self-levelling you will need the plug from the HID bulb with a short piece of loom + the headlamp washers & washer bottle & piping from the CDX. Swap the level motors from the CD lamps then splice into the existing loom on the CD`s dipped beam connector colour matching colour. Front of triangular relay box near battery add a 30A fuse to the washer relay for the headlamp washers

Ok that dont sound too bad, how comes I need the headlight washers as well?

It aint a problem, as the bumper on my CDX is in a lot better condition as my 2.2 CD has had a little front end shunt so it was gonna be changed over anyway
