Rear window blind problem
« on: 15 March 2011, 14:43:44 »

hi guys,  A problem with the rear window blind on my 2000  facelift elite saloon.

The blind is in the open position (folded up & sitting on the rear shelf)

On pressing the blind switch nothing happens except a slight audible click from the n/s  end of the blind  ( comimng from somewhere under the shelf.

Have looked from inside boot ,but can't really define much.

thought i would post on here first to see if it's a quck fix or common problem or something more like removing the whole thing to get to it.

TIA      Big Al  :y :y

I have had that prob i my 2000 elite too; i found that trying the button on the dash a few times did free it up. Might be that simple if you keep ur fingers crossed! :)

thanks for that Jimbob --  just had a look --  good explanation of stripdown.

BAD NEWS is : :-? :-?  Just had a close look at the blind & one of the black metal stays is actually broken from the mechanism. This looks like a total  FUBAR ! ! situation.

Never mind as I can't really remember that I ever used the blind in my old elite anyway ::) ::) ::)
