Rear blind relay, box, thingamy
« on: 06 May 2011, 16:29:22 »

This(pointing to in pic) I think is breaked. Press the blind button in the car and there's s click from the rear and that's it. Removed blind and applied 12 volts from a spare car battery to the green and White wire to the motor and the blind operates, reverse positive/negative and it retracts, all good. So as the box pictured has some daed pins does that maen the relays within are buggered? Or, thinking about it, is it the switch in the dash?

I`d go for the internal relay -

If the switch was duff then it would not give you a "click"

Just to add, the blind when in the car was not jammed. Pull the blind up and press the button, nothing happens, no power to motor. It's like the motor is trying to retract while retracted. Like the feed is not switching to reverse the motor.

I would say either a relay, as said, or perhaps a limit switch has failed - designed to stop the motor at the top or bottom, but actually disabling it?

That said, if it has a relay to control the motor and it clicks, Likely just the relay.

Happy to dissect and attempt repair and/or stare blanky at the pile of bits if you like?

Had the board out of the relay box and there's two small relays in there, some chips, a resitor(?) or two etc. Can't see any circuit board damage or burnt bits. Could there be a duration to motor supply? Haven't seen any micro switches for blind position?

As it's you, gayboygixer, I've tested. Relay box fine, my motor knacked. You just needed relay/control box?
