Engine coolant circulating thermostat valve
« on: 09 May 2011, 16:07:43 »

Hi,
I have a omega V6 2002, in KSA. here weather temp goes till 50C sometimes up. Removing/changing thermostat valve which is circulating the coolant water in engine body will bring down the engine temp, as longtrips giving more then 90C engine temp. is such type of thermostat valve available for this model?
regards,

A running temp of 90 is fine for a V6  :y

dear the fans works ok, if you switch off the engine and temp is more then 90C its running, as it reaches down 90C fan stops automatically.
Mostly the temp is b/w 90 - 96 C.
(History: Only one time i started my trip and we reached only 80Km, i slowed down the car and engine stops, the temp niddle was going on red, after rectification and putting the airflow and cam sensor it runs well since 8 mths.)
