2.5TD (BMW) Chip
« on: 09 May 2011, 12:34:56 »

Hopefully this is a fairly simple question for yourselfs.

I am interested in Chiping my 2.5TD. My questions are,

Firstly is it worth it?

Secondly who or where do i go to get it done(electrics are not my forte!)? Any recommendations?

Thirdly What are the down sides?

And finally what will it cost?

Hope you can help me?

If yours is an auto, the gearbox isn't man enough.

Thanks for the concern, but i was aware of the gearbox issue, hence i bought a Manual.

Ok, Next question,

What sort of gains should i expect?

Is there anything else i would need to change(The Volvo forums always advocated a stage 0 Service) or expect to break?

Nope, though expect rear tyres to take more of a beating ::)

Generally, it brings it back to around BMW spec, from the knobbled Opel spec.
