According to the Trade Club website (identify which alt you currently have):

3.0i 24v V6 - X30XE      100 AMP; Ident TN; Bosch / Delco Remy      R1530041
£181.00 retail      £154.21 trade      £139.75 trade club

3.0i 24v V6 - X30XE      120 AMP; Ident XA; Bosch      R1530056
£125.00 retail      £106.35 trade      £96.38 trade club

However, if it is either the electronics or the bearings that have gone (and it usually is), your local specialist auto electrical shop will be able to fix it for much less than this.

And you will probably be keeping a modest but highly skilled grey-haired old man in business for another day.  Old-style auto electricians are a dying but loveable breed.
