Pass Codes
« on: 16 July 2011, 14:23:14 »

I have just received the pass codes for my new Elite. Am I right to be suspicious that the Key Codes and Radio codes are identical?

Depends on the stereo

If it was a NCDXXXX model that doesn`t need a code ?

Sorry for the late reply Dave, I've been locked out for two days. I have an NCDC13, but why give a code if it doesn't have one, other, perhaps, than to try to justify the £21 they charge! >:(

Sorry, just seen this.

If you have an NCDC, the radio's pairing code is set to the car's PIN code, so they will be identical (assuming nobody has replaced the stereo).  The NCDC doesn't have a code 'burned in' by the manufacturer, like traditional units.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Jaime, so no code required when removing the battery. :y

Nope, not for radio :y

You just need to reset the windows and sunroof after battery disconnection :y

Can't find anything in the FAQ or maintenance sections about reseting the sunroof. Am I missing something obvious?  :-/

Top man Nigel!  :y

Out of interest, after the battery has been re-connected will the sunroof do anything at all until the re-programming has been done?
