crikey... what is strange, is that I went to the ebay home page, and the address clearly has "ebay.co.uk" in it, so it can't be a phishing link  :-/

I actually clicked on a ebay listing that was a phising site a few months ago. How they do it i don't know, but my account guard did it's job yet again.

Ok what's going on here...

I go to ebay.co.uk, and am definately on the EBAY site

I search for Omega Elite Estate, and I find this one.

I click on the link, and it takes me to the listing, again with "ebay.co.uk" in the address bar

after 10 seconds of the listing being on my screen, the page then redirects to "itemscgi dot com" << Don't click on this

My suspicion is that there is some code running on the listing perhaps that directs to a malicious site?

is this the listing that has its opening photo from a VX Carlton or Nova or something, which then showed an Elite that then redirected to ebay's log in page?

as per above advice, if you DID enter your details to that page, it indeed looks like it's somehow gone to a phishing site.. so change your ebay password NOW before someone else logs into your account....

Ps - sincere apologies - I posted a genuine ebay link in good faith - but some scum always has to take advantage of honest listings to decieve people into releasing information.

To re-iterate, change your ebay passwords now (on the genuine ebay site) if you entered details, please, it's v important.

Yep, Stirling Cars was the first name that they used and as the other thread says, it was discussed at length during the Voxon days.  Even then, they were viewed poorly.

I saw that as the other day - the wheel in question is actually from a late Cavalier CDX.

Be aware Ebay has a long standing flaw - which they are aware of, but deny it being a problem - where you can have a genuine ebay.co.uk url for any site.

Thanx TB. They just want their/your money for as little as possible.
The amount of £££s going into that business every day, you'd think they'd get their act together  :(
