« on: 24 September 2011, 22:46:13 »

I have a front bush gone, and fancy the Polyurethane ones, I know we had a bulk order recently. Can someone confirm these ones are good/bad/indifferent please:-
POWERFLEX KIT Opel Omega A B 86-2003 PFF80-902 from wackie_racers aka mjd128.
Thanks.

Would seem so Glen.
Excellent service too, though would give 'em a ring to check availability before placing your order. ;)

Thanks Byron. I read these can be fitted with the wishbone in-situ. Seems a decent idea, dear enough for a a "doorstop" though ::)

Yep, saw it done at Newent.

However, I fitted 'em on new Lemforder wishbones to our TD prior to fitting 'em to the car.
I set fire to the rubber, wacked the innards out, then CAREFULLY put a hacksaw cut through the outer sleeve until it collapsed, then knocked that out.
New polybushes just slip in easily.
Went to WIM at Chesham for a full geometry set-up - the TD now goes where it's told to go! :y
Although the ride's now perhaps a tad on the 'harsh' side, I'm quite pleased. Tyres are wearing evenly too, with no strange handling characteristics.

Go for it Glen! ;)

Friggin' next to impossible to do 'in-situ' on a TD Glen >:(
IIRC; Turk managed it, though he had something of a struggle :D

I reckon that the most straightforward way is to lower the sub-frame slightly to access the captive bolts.
So long as the sub-frame-to-chassis position can be replicated on refitting, then you should be fine geometry-wise. I've still got my poly A/R bar bushes sat on the workshop bench here awaiting their fitting ..........  ;D

Thanks again Byron, Hmmm . .  I may well put that little job off for a while then. Probably nowt wrong with mine anyway, only bought them because they were part of the "kit".
Postie let me down, no worries, it promises to be a lovely day tomorrow, I would only be lying in the sun supping cold stubbies anyway.  ::)

Thanks Mark, I will be doing the Front bushes tomorrow (if they arrive) but the ARB ones are out of stock for now. I expect then in a weeks time.  :y

Poly bushes fitted, just finished, Postman Prat didn't deliver until after dinner. I did the N/S in-situ, but took the wishbone off the other side, not a lot to choose between them. No ARB bushes yet, so I had the perfect excuse not to fit them.  :y
