Halfrauds aerosol paint
« on: 25 September 2011, 14:13:32 »

My rear arches need a little attention. Mine is same colour as the one in Entwoods avatar. Like a pale gold.
Halfrauds have what appears to be a close match in their VX range of colours. They call it 'Sovereign Gold'.  No specific paint code that I can see.

Any ideas as to whether this is the official VX name for the colour ?

Cheers.

Entwoods is "Champagne" but be careful, there is also an "Oyster" which is a silver/campagne cross.

See the guide on paint codes to make sure you get the right colour to start with.

But that colour won't match going by the name.

'Champagne Gold' is what I always thought mine was as well, but wasn't sure whether that was the official VX name.
I guess having it mixed would be the best option, but can that be supplied as an aerosol ?
The job doesn't warrant using a compressor and paint gun.

Would a vx touch up pen be too small?

I spoke to a paint supplier in Scotland last week re solvent based paints that are not available here in Ireland and after giving him my code which is Z489 Champagne , he told me there are 8 different shades.
