Were is the maf sensor located

Standing in front of car, front left, follow large oval pipe from air filter down - its the first plug on that pipe you come to.  Just take the plug off and try starting it.  If it starts and runs you need a new MAF sensor  ;)

Just to sum up.....

the car has a matched engine control computor, ignition key transponder ecu which is attached to the column AND a chip in the ignition key. You must have all of these fitted from the original car to get it to start and continue running.

If you need to change the ignition lock itself, then re-fit the original transponder to the column and install the car's original chip in the new key.

what happens with the yellow light on the instrument pack. If the engine stops immediately due to immobiliser issues, i think it should be flashing.

I have a car that did this, one which had an extra GM alarm fitted. If you tried to start it before the immobiliser "handshake" was completed, the engine would start and then stop immediately. The trick was to turn on the ignition, wait for a few seconds for the handshake to be completed and the light to stop flashing and then start it. The solution was to remove the extra alarm.
