Some of you know I have recurrent lung infections, and I only have 1 lung, due to the big C.

Well a recent infection seems to have come back with a vengeance and amongst the coughing and spluttering my breathing became more and more difficult till it got to the stage for that treble 9 call.

Ambulance staff were great, A&E was busy but at least I was getting treatment and carried on with a variety of drips, oxygen, steroids and nebulisors until stable, overnight in AEAU...Heart rate very high so had 3 ecg's and a chest x ray........so well looked after, no complaints...... :y :y

There was a few moments when i really thought this was it, but thankfully, yet again have pulled through, and it is 4 years since I was last in hospital for similar reasons, though that was pleurisy and somewhat more painful.... :'(

Had to ring work, said I could not come in as I was in hospital, and will not be in for at least another week or two, got to get rid of all traces otherwise it will be back quickly.... :( :(

Not nice.  :( I had a similar thing once due to an allergy. Not being able to breathe well and knowing that you're relying on help turning up is worrying.

I'm glad to hear the outcome was good and I hope the rest helps you get rid. :y

Bloody hell Mike, you need to chill work should be the last thing on your mind. I know we all need money but your health is far more important.....

Take care

Best wishes for recovery Mike.....    I've been there.... sort of....   (different cause, but with similar scary symptoms and experiences stuff) , and also still not entirely out of the woods.....
