The house smells.like a brewery.

Elderberry and blackcurrant port on the go in one fv, another batch of weissbier in the other.

Plus the kitchen smells of the hops and Orange peel I was boiling.  I love it hut her indoors hates it.

Plus I have started work on the all-grain system  :y

Oh well it's worth the agro  ;D

thats my next project. last brew i did was a 6.1%. did a nice 4.8% chocolate stout the other month. very nice indeed.

I'm trying recreate and slightly improve the last weissbier I made.  It seemed to he popular at Newent.  It was intended for Christmas but it didn't even make September lol

thats about like me, did a barley wine for one christmas, hasten to add it never made it to chrimbo, but boy was it nice. hic.

Well the port is intended for next year but I may sample a little this year.  I can't do it all as it is intended for after next years 'extended holiday' in the sand :y

Do you want a dozen barrowloads of ripe sweet white grapes?

Free but you have to collect them. A Spanish neighbour had them last year but I have never got out of him whether his wine was a disaster or so good he didn't want to share it. I suspect the former..........

Varche - I would love them but I cannot collect.  Just don't have the time.  Next year is a possibility as I will have a lot of time off in November.

Baron - just take any elderberry recipe and add 20% blackberries and between 20-30% more sugar.  I have a bunch of unused elderberries here if you wish.  I harvested too many.

Mine is almost ready for its' first brew. HLT, mash tun, wort chiller and boiler are ready. PID temperature controller is built and tested. Just need to cobble together a few plumbing fittings and pot the temperature sensors in epoxy.
