Diff fluid level!
« on: 11 October 2011, 20:04:54 »

Hi All
I have a noise in the rear of the car like a low pitched droning.

I noticed the bottom of the diff is very wet,
How do I check the fluid level?
How do I top this up?
Is it gearbox oil?
Is the fluid in the diff only or is it shared with anywhere else in the car i.e. the gearbox or engine?

I've had people in the back and they all say the noise is central, I've jacked the wheels up and found no play.

If it's not broken, don't fix it.

Yes i believe so - you just need to check if yours has a limited slip differential (which i doubt yours has) and put in the appropriate fluid as per the guide
