I've been, very happy with the halfords 150 piece set I bought years ago, does nearly everything you need. Worth getting some adaptors to set up to the big drives when you need extra go...

for money can't knock them, often are on offer for £95/99  :y
Same they don't lose the imperial stuff, and drop the price by 25-30%...

Valid point, never used that part of the set before!
Still useful and popular with those who restore classics etc.though. ;)

Just seen them on offer for £99.99 plus if you enter AFFCM14 at checkout you get an extra 10% off - I am seriously tempted. :-\
Make sure its the 150pc - the 120pc is also on offer for £99 ;D

yeah, they are just adaptors, not sure why other is not working. It allows you to use different combinations of drives like smaller sockets on the 1/2 inch.

Torque Wrenches are an ideal investment too:

I've got a trade card which should get that for around £40  :y

Bigger one for wheel nuts, track rods ect.....

Thankyou - i realised after i typed the post - I think i will leave it for now as i can always pop down to the local store and pick up anytime if i need it.
The torque wrenches do look tempting but i will have to hold out for that right now.
