Despite the fact I hardly turn the consoles on anymore and only played Forza 3 for five minutes, I find myself looking at Forza 4..

I didn't realise you can't get the Microsoft steering wheel anymore, though.. anyone know what a decent alternative is? I don't really want to spend £400 for a Fanatec Porsche wheel ;D
i was considering a wheel, last one i had was total shite tho they end up getting thrown all round the room lol

... And ThegroomerBoy will be chucking his guts up if he plays it for more than 5mins. ;D

Inner ear infection, yeah yeah, whatever :P
My lugholes were given me some jip that day. Real jip. Gay.

But even without the ear problem, that I'm still suffering with since Cyprus, any more than 30mins on simulation or 1st person shooters, we're looking at chunks nowadays  :-[. Double gay  :-[.

Real shame, as I used to be an expert at DOOM, frequently waving to the milkman in the morning before packing up for bed ::)

I've been playing their most recent game!
I stopped playing their junk after the appallingly bad Quake (yes, I though it was bad - a case of technical improvements getting in the way of gameplay) after rushing out the day it was released.

lol i love the GT5 vs forza war, ive got both, i was a little disapointed when gt finaly arived but still an amazing game, and teh sounds are awsome! they say the car graphics are not as good on forza 4 (compared to gt) so looking forward to see how the rest is. i tend to collect lots of cars so really looking forward to the new line up, fair few more i like then on 3. the new braking system sounds interesting too.
only trouble is im away sat to cornwall so im going to have to take it with me lol thres also already a fair few cars on DLC so i really hope they keep that up!
roll on tomoz!
It certainly promotes good competition, that pushes each publisher along :y

Forza is, a faict, the best driving game by some distance. F1, GT5, project Gotham, all of the ps3 driving games, alley bush compared to Forza3.

Forza4 looks awesome looking at some of the related videos. Didn't think kinect would help with this game. But it looks incredibly accurate.
Wanna borrow my Kinect then?
Sorry, was mid reply on me Phone at work, then went home and picked me iPad.

Er....  yes please.  :).     Although I'm a little concerned being offered kids toys by strange men I met on the Internet.  H is advising parental guidance.... ;D ...and a curry of course ;)
You got a slim now IIRC?  That means I don't have to find the friggin PSU for the Kinect (PSU only needed for older 360s)

after the time it took GT to finaly get released i think forza will be on number 6! they had some catching up to do, but hopfully they have done so, i also think they could get another one out before GT are able to. i was hoping for GT to give DLC to get more premium cars but still waiting lol forza is comming with 500 on disc and already loads to download

Been a few huge GT5 downloads

Over 1000 cars but 25 Imprezas so not that many

Competition is good for racing games

Less likely to overheat and also a lot less likely to RROD.

BTW next version will be RROD proof by removing the red LEDs ::) ::)

A year, maybe more...

The pros are its much quieter, and built in Wifi.

If yours doesn't have built in wifi (or uses a plug in wifi adpater), that its a fat boy.

No point upgrading.

Aghhhhh no edit

Yes if you have either HD console the slim versions are less power hungry, and more reliable.

If you have the SD console the newer versions are stripping out Gamecube compatability

One would certainly hope so.

Actually both YLOD and RROD are caused by GPUs breaking away from the motherboards, the run to narrower tracks and less power mean they are running cooler.

RROD is basically a bad overheat and cracking solder. The cooling on the older boxes is not great.

YLOD is a lot less common but does happen. Again the GPU is trying to escape, cooling is better on the PS3 but it still goes pop, not as much however.

BOTH slims though seem to be immune to their respective GPU failure.
