Omega Black.... ....is BACK!
« on: 16 October 2011, 18:00:16 »

 ;D

New wishbone fitted, second hand stub axle with baring fitted, set the camber with socket method repeated from the non damaged side, minor tweak of toe, jobs a gooden. :-*

Mot tomorrow, partly for my own piece of mind, and to keep insurance happy, plus my renewal date is in deepest darkest winter, so suits me.  :y

See what happens tomorrow, although the side repeater lense is missing. Buld is there, and works, but no lense. Will that fail mot?  :-\

Not if the bulb is amber ;)

Good news on the progress though :y :y

So have they agreed payout terms etc? and are they going to insure it again for you? ::) ::)

Good news :y

Being a 2003 model, I assume it has the clear repeaters, so bulbs should be orange.  Had you said, I may even have one here...

Bulb is orange. The wing i have lined up with Steve at omegaparts has a clear repeater lense in ready to go. But i dont plan to do that until this coming week. So guess that will work out ok.

Car is currently insured for 7 days apparently, To alow a visit to mot station within that time, although they said themselves they are obliged to cover the mot journey anyway. Once passes all will be fine.

Value currently is £2990 for the car. Cant really argue that tbh. Although that doesnt include the extras of wheels and lpg kit. Currently arguing thar one, to be continued on Monday.  ;)

If they do fail for that, I can SD one down to you, either the one in garage (if I can find it) or one from TBE, to get a ticket on it - let me know before 2pm tomorrow if that is reqd, then you'll have it Tuesday AM.

Also, the other wishbone will be replaced once the mot is passed, just to give them a chance to asses everything fully that may have been involved. Theres no uneven performance under braking, even though the undamaged wishbone has a stiffer BMW m5(?) front bush fitted.

Cant tell you how pleased i am to have it back.

Cheers TB, no need though, Steve is 5mins from work, where the test centre is.  :y

Nice thought though.  :-*
