Just sat and watched last weeks watchdog there expert on rouge trader for electrician was imo wrong bloke firstly took light down to test power there as lamp failure can not be ruled out common practice as for touching live wires in consumer unit for a compatant spark the normal and safe to a point as for the burned cable statement be aware common practice for rouges to get you to shell out money scare mongering and the thing that realy made me laugh was the fact agreed new cooker switch not needed the fact it was a plastic switch and earth from box was removed that particular cable not needed as the pins in the front are connected to earth point on switch so box is earthed only a problem when switch removed got to laugh is like them to report about the new shody components from China 26 amps through a double socket and melting and my favourable at min is new modern consumer units bein tested at main switch ampage (63 amp on most) and din rail melting and consumer unit setting alight before main switch trips bring our manufacturing industry back imo
Absolutely no offence, but I got a quarter of the way into reading this and gave up. You have typed 196 words, without
any punctuation, commas, or full stops - and it makes it really hard to read.
Could I ask nicely, that you consider this in future, when posting?
Cheers
