Sounds like it could require the transmission oil changing and the transmission filter cleaning.

I've got a feeling this car is a manual? ???

May be worth checking for fault codes

Ok so i have just done the paperclip test and results were code 12? anybody know what that one means as its not on the list of codes and 74 which is Mass Air Flow Sensor Voltage High. Anybody know how to cure that? and would either of these cause the hesitation when canging gear? ???

Danny,

If you like, next weekend (not this coming one) I can pop up with some kit, we can take it out for a run and look at the live-data on the laptop?

It might also be a prime opportunity to look over the LPG setup, on your old V6.

I'm keen we don't begin any LPG installations, until 100% confident yours is running as it should be  :y

Good advice James, you don't want an unknown added to the equation!
