Sounds like its in limp, if turbo was dead, would it not rev to red line with no load. But under load be flat as pancake?

EML would be on, if it were, imo.......dont forget no EML, no codes being reported

How could that law abiding Mr H21 suggest such a plan  :o ;D ;D

Mind you, if it could get up enough speed, i might be tempted to side swipe a lamp post and put some damage to the B pillar  ::) ;D ;D

Was at the garage today.....new turbo supposed to fitted tomorrow....when it arrives

However the original turbo has been taken off and is definitely fubared...the shaft with the vanes attached has snapped  :o There was also a nut that holds the vanes onto the shaft missing.....where thats gone is anyones guess  :-\

Seen one or two issues with the smaller Garrat variable geometry turbos, saw one off a Pug last week where the exhaust gas seal had failed internaly and the turbo looked like an exhaust tail pipe spitting fumes out everywhere.

This is a pug turbo, its got a pug engine in it......in fact i think Skudos are built by pug...the pug expert is exactly the same as a skudo  :y

Give me a nice rebuildable old fashioned journal bearing turbo over one of these fancy dancy variable geometry things anyday.
