its only been half an hour, give someone a chance!  :o

Bumping threads is against rules, this is also in the wrong section, as its not an Omega.

Where the tensioners replaced with the kit?

I don't want to sound rude here but you do mean the cambelt and not the auxbelt? The cambelt is hidden behind the cover so can't be seen without removing a few things. The reason I ask we have had a number of people confusing one with the other....

its not the aux belt as i have run it with that taken off to see if it was the aux tentioner and i have the cover on cambelt off at the moment soon as you spray a bit wd40 on the top of the belt the noise stops

Ok cool, I needed to ask though ;)

It is a click not at squeak? As I have heard people say the writing on Vx belts make squeaaking noises.....

I have also seen a piece of metal in a cambelt which clicked everytime it hit the top idler.... But i would not think being fair WD 40 would quiten that.......

Millwall mentioned above the Hydrolic Lifters could it be that? Or even an exhust manifold gasket that goes quiet when it warms?

Maybe idler is a bit stiff. Lube on the belt top stopping the noise would suggest that something the belts is running over is causing the noise. Im not an expert on cam belts on vx as I have only done one on mine, but would say you have a pulley running at a different speed to the belt.

dont think it is the hydrilic lifters as when i lube the belt soon as i start the engine the noise stops and how would the idler  run differant speed all you can do is set cambelt to spec and run it thought the tensioner was to tight and tryed resetting it but that didnt work

I admit its only a theory, I cant remember if all the pulleys get changed with the kit. I know the tensioners do. Was just thinking that if one of the pulleys that the belt runs over on its smooth side was a bit stiff the belt would run faster than the pulley, like a cold aux belt that squeels. Not sure as you say you have a click though. Only going off the fact you say it stops when you put some lube on it.

ok al the kit comes with the two rollers which are simectric basically the top and bottom rollers adjust and aline the camshaft banks 1234 when you turn the engine round twice after setting the tensioner you use the rollers to pull the cams round to line up with the gauge thanks for the info every one can always get help from this site pitty we didnt solve it will have to look into it abit more cheers guys

Hope you get it sorted, but would check the belt run, must be catching on something.
