just for a change, why not get something with a little more refined panache?

Better to be thought to have a small dick than buy a porsche and confirm you have a small dick.  ;D

Midlife Crisis.... Makes me laugh, its just an age where you perhaps have more money now than you did... At least thats what I like to think :y

911's are on my list of wants before I die, so my answer would be if its something you desire plus have the money to do it GO for it Del :) x

BTW, having been out in both of the 997s (not as a driver .. yet, I think the new car novelty needs to wear off for them first ;D ) - one on track - I'd absolutely buy one (I know you're looking at a 996 and the 997 is meant to handle better, but really, how bad could the 996 be? ;)).

They're a truly staggering car for something you can drive to a race track, put in a fantastic lap time and then drive home again in..

Help me answer this question. Do I buy a 2003 '53' Plate Porsche 911 Carrera 2 3.6?

Gotta be done ain't it.  :y  Have what you can afford in life and enjoy it. :y :y

I personally don't like porkers, just never saw the appeal of them, although I guess that might change if I drove one.

Still VXR8/Monaro for me at some point  :)

DelBoy - I think you should bid for Millwall's Vectra and see what impact (if any)it has on your tackle
